Weekends at Willow

Welcome to Willow! We’re so excited to gather on Sundays—in person and online—for services, kids, and student programs. As always, you can check out a service on Willow Online, or plan a Sunday visit at one of our Chicagoland locations.

For God So Loves Graphic

Current SeriesFor God So Loves

Do you have to go somewhere far or do something big to change the world? Nope! It starts by living out God’s love for the world right where you are. For God So Loves is anchored in Acts 1:8 and uses Jesus’ parables to help you see God’s heart for our community—and invites you to play a part! God loves all people, He loves the vulnerable, He even loves your enemy. Do you?

FOR GOD SO LOVES ALL PEOPLE
November 10

When you see God’s heart for all people, it changes the ways you see those around you. Matthew 25:14–30 tells the story of three men who were given gold: two invested it and made more while one buried it in the ground. Which was better? God wants you to use what He has given you to change the world!

FOR GOD SO LOVES THE VULNERABLE
November 17

God really loves vulnerable people—and He loves them in big ways! Matthew 25:31–46 reveals God’s heart for the hurting and marginalized and calls you to love them, too. The opportunity to love your vulnerable neighbors is closer than you think!

FOR GOD SO LOVES YOUR ENEMY
November 24

It’s easy to love those who are like you, but what about those who are really different from you? Luke 10:25–37 tells the story of the Good Samaritan, who loved his very different neighbor in very big ways. This is the kind of love God calls us to share with all people — even our enemies!

Questions our Kids are Asking
September 8, 15, 22 & 29

Our kids and students are asking hard questions about God, faith, life, and culture—and are often turning to the internet or their friends for answers. As the church, how can we be a safe space for questions and point to God’s wisdom for answers? Questions Our Kids Are Asking will help us do just that!

Prayers for the Next President
October 13, 20, 27 & November 3

Election seasons are tense and have the potential to divide us, yet we are called to demonstrate love that shows no partiality. Not only that, we see a biblical call to pray for our elected officials (which can feel like a challenge at times). So what would you pray? The Bible shows us the character traits required for effective leadership that we can pray for our leaders and our own lives!

For God So Loves
November 10, 17 & 24

God loves everyone…and so should we! When you experience the love of Jesus, you begin to see His heart for all people, the vulnerable, and even your enemies. During these three weeks, we’ll explore God’s heart for compassion and justice and see how we can play a part right where we are. You’ll also get the chance to assemble Hope Packs and send a gift to every incarcerated person in Illinois!
