Women have been dreaming of creating a unique experience for women at Camp! Join us for a Women’s Retreat weekend—3 nights and 2 full days of rest and adventure in the north woods. Find peace in the peace through solitude time, daily worship and teaching at the chapel, community meal times, and challenging yourself on the High Adventure courses with cabin mates.
Camp Paradise is located on more than 1,300 acres on the Tahquamenon River—the perfect stage to rest, recharge, and engage in a variety of activities. At the Women’s Retreat, you’ll experience quality teaching and intentional community, adventurous activities that can deepen your relationships and spiritual perspective, and space to connect with God and other women.
Challenge yourself by climbing the 50-foot climbing tower, wake up early to canoe along the Tahquamenon River or practice gentle yoga surrounded by nature, explore our hiking trails, learn to shoot at our archery and bb gun range, and enjoy the evening campfires.
Camp Paradise is a remote summer camp and retreat center located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, roughly 45 minutes from the town of Newberry.
The Women’s Retreat is $375 per person. This does not include the cost of travel to Camp Paradise or anything you’d like to buy at the camp store while you’re there.
Take a look at our Women’s Retreat packing list!
There are 60 spots available for the Women’s Retreat. During the registration process, there will be a space for you to enter the names of individuals you’d like to share a cabin with. While the standard is typically 5 women per cabin, up to 10 people can be accommodated in one cabin if desired. If you are attending with more than 10 people, let us know and we can assign you to neighboring cabins.
Clean, comfortable cabins are outfitted with bunk beds and shelves for you to have your own space among your cabin mates. Three delicious home-cooked meals are served each day at the dining room in the Lodge. There is no running water, however, there are hand-pump wells and wood-burning water heaters for warm Camp Paradise original bucket showers. And, as a bonus feature, our outhouses are the cleanest around!
The limited electricity at Camp Paradise is powered by solar and is utilized in spaces like the industrial kitchen and the chapel. Being “off the grid” means there is no Wi-Fi or phone charging stations to interrupt your time away.
If you need to cancel, please contact the camp office by emailing deana.liggett@willowcreek.org or calling (224) 512-1689. We will provide a refund less a $100 non-refundable cancellation fee if you cancel up to 30 days before your session. If you cancel less than 30 days from your session start day, we will not be able to issue a refund.
Camp Paradise has a scholarship fund to make sure everyone has a chance to attend, regardless of finances. If you need scholarship assistance, please complete this form. We will do our best to assist you! Please contact Deana at deana.liggett@willowcreek.org for more information.
Because Camp Paradise is in a remote, off-the-grid location and serves many people at each meal, we have unique challenges when it comes to special diets. Please download and read our Food Policy document for more details. Please contact Louisa Michael (louisa.michael@willowcreek.org) for more information.
