Condolences

Grace and peace to you from the God of all comfort as you navigate the grief of loss. Our church cares for you and will walk alongside you as you process, plan, and heal.

Grief Workshops

Some days are harder than others. Our “Handling the Hard Days” workshop is designed to provide support and strategies for navigating the most challenging moments of grief. This one-day event will empower participants to face Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Anniversaries, and more by teaching them coping techniques to help make the difficult days more manageable. We invite you to find connection and comfort in a welcoming environment. For more information, please check the details below.

Funerals

The death of someone you love ushers in a cascade of complex emotions, and planning a funeral or memorial service to honor, remember, and celebrate loved ones can feel overwhelming. Let Willow’s funeral team help you during this difficult time. Our compassionate funeral pastors provide support, comfort, and help in designing a meaningful commemoration to honor your loved one.

Willow Creek officiants (pastors) can help you plan your loved one’s memorial or funeral—and can lead your service, whether it’s held in Willow South Barrington’s Chapel, at your preferred Willow Creek regional location, or elsewhere.

Call 224-512-1800, email funerals@willowcreek.org or connect with a pastor to get started.

Talk to a pastor

We have pastors ready to listen, pray, and help you navigate what’s next. To get started, simply fill out the form at the link below.

Receive prayer

When you pray, you connect with God at a deeper level, bringing your needs and your gratitude to Him. Throughout the week, members of Willow’s prayer team stand ready to pray on your behalf.

Volunteer

We compassionately serve families grieving the loss of a loved one. Serving opportunities are frequent and flexible, and each service lasts 2-3 hours. Additional opportunities are available. Tasks may include assisting the family in setting up the chapel, welcoming guests and directing seating, assisting the family as they leave our campus, and resetting the chapel/reception room post-service.

Grief Groups

It’s essential to find support when you’re grieving the loss of a family member or friend. Our Grief Support groups offer a safe space to heal, providing comfort, hope, and valuable tools to guide you through the grieving process. Connect with others who have experienced similar losses and find the support you need to navigate this difficult time.

Registration for the next season of Grief-Focused Small Groups opens on May 11.
