What’s in your hand?
Willow Creek | April 12, 2024
Have you ever wanted to do something significant but thought, I don’t have enough? It would help if you had more time, the skills required, or the means to go and do that great thing you dream of.
That’s the same feeling Moses experiences in Exodus. God tasks Moses with leading his people out of Egypt, and Moses questions whether he has the right resources and skills to do so: “What if they do not believe me or listen to me..?” Then God asks Moses: “What is in your hand?” (Exodus 4:2).
Moses held a simple wooden staff in his hand. It wasn’t a grand or flashy tool; it was just used for his everyday tasks. But in God’s hands, Moses’ staff performed miracles, parting the Red Sea and leading the Israelites to freedom.
Just like Moses’ staff, through God, your resources, whether big or small, can be the catalyst for miraculous change around the world. Taking part in Celebration of Hope isn’t about the size of your contribution but about recognizing the incredible potential of the resources God has already given to you.
Willow, whatever is in your hand—your time, talents, prayers, or finances—we warmly invite you to use it this year to make a lasting impact in communities worldwide. Your unique contribution is what makes our community strong and vibrant.
See our Celebration of Hope Giving Menu at willowcreek.org/coh for various ways your donation can impact people through our global partners. God can use everything, from $10 to $10,000; every contribution is deeply appreciated and valued.
We are deeply grateful for your willingness to share what is in your hand. We can’t wait to see how God uses it. Thank you for being a part of our community and for your invaluable contributions.
